Easy Money Scam Alert: Why Chainletters Suck.....
By Shelley Lockwood
Chain letters by any kind of mail are nothing but scams! If you participate in one you'll not only loose money you'll most likely be breaking the law.
The Internet has brought about some new variations (it's the first scam I fell for - the legal chain letter. Luckily I only lost five dollars), but they all boil down to the same thing.
You receive a list of names, send a set amount of money to each. Change the list by adding your name in the top spot. Send out the revised list then sit back and wait for the money to come rolling in.
Don't be surprised at how many of the addresses lead back to the originator. Who is in fact sitting back and collecting all of the money.
You'll see plenty of feeble attempts at making the scam appear legit. Claiming to be "lawyer" or" US Postal Service" approved.
There is no such thing as a US Postal Service or Lawyer approved chain letter. In fact consider them only scam artist approved.
Even if you do make money (highly unlikely) it's fraud. It's illegal.
Stay away! Invest your money wisely; start your own home business that you can be proud of.
Take care,
Shelley
