Brand Named Products- Sure XYZ Brand Maybe!
Some people decide they want to sell well known or brand name products on their websites. They don't want to set up shop warehousing and physically shipping the products, so they decide to go with using a company who specializes in just that.
They are often referred to as drop ship distributor's. They deal directly with manufacturers and stock the product in their warehouse.
If you decide to go this route, you take orders from your customers at a marked up price. You then place the order with the drop ship distributor and they ship on your behalf.
You pay the drop ship distributor, your customer pays you. You keep the profit.
If you are contemplating selling products online and shipping via a drop ship distributor it's important to be careful when deciding who to deal with.
Some people claim to be drop ship distributor's, and they're not. They simply sign up under a drop shipper, and then lead you to believe that they are the drop shipper themselves.
Some claim to have brand named products, and they sell junk.
Some charge you to join. Some sell worthless lists of distributors.
Seeing as though this isn't my area of expertise, I'll send you over to read the bottom line from someone who is.
Chris Malta began developing The Drop Ship Source Directory after years of frustration with all the worthless wholesale product source lists that are floating around the Internet. He and his partners at WorldWide Brands, Inc., research and publish the Directory, and use the Drop Shipping method exclusively to operate their own successful retail sites on the Internet.
Visit his site, check out the Scam Watch Page for more information and find out why you need to be very careful on deciding who to work with as your drop ship distributor.
